<p style="text-align: justify;">Happy New Year 2010 again!<br />
Last year was a good “kickstart” year for PlacesAndFoods.com. Not to mention good internet connection from Streamyx lately. I was told lately that I blogged too much of invited food reviews. Paid food are fake reviews. Well, that is so not true. Let me introduce a Thai farm restaurant from my recent trip to Krabi. Well, this was not a paid food review.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<p><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1021.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9592" title="kb102" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1021.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="600" /></a></p>
<p><span id="more-9587"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The place is called Ku la Kasai Restaurant. I have no idea what it means. The restaurant is located nearby the Krabi airport. The place is quite popular with the local tour guides. Quite a number of them, recommend this restaurant.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<p><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1031.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9593" title="kb103" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1031.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="600" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
<p style="text-align: justify;">Well, the restaurant sits on top of a pond. It’s like a mini fish farm. The place itself even though wooden, its clean and nice. We started off with <strong>Beancurd with crab meat</strong>. The dish was slightly thick and starchy. The plate came with a generous amount of crab meat. I loved this, the rest had mixed reviews on this. <strong>Fried prawn with flour</strong>, <strong><strong> </strong></strong> This was very similar to the ones we have back in Malaysia, Cucur Udang. One must not forget, there’s quite a number of Muslim stayed in Krabi. Fried fish with hot sweet sauce, <strong> </strong> Very crispy outer layer and the fish meat was tender. This was good! <strong>Tom Yum Soup with seafood,</strong> Seafood must be cheap in Krabi! The bowl came with a generous amount of seafood such as squids and prawns. <strong>Mango salad</strong> anyone? Lastly, we had the <strong>stir fried mixed vegetables </strong>ending our lunch at Krabi. The food was pretty good. Since this was pre-arranged by our tour guide, I couldn’t give the pricing for this. The service was good and the place was windy with the mini lake view.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1041.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9594" title="kb104" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1041.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1051.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9595" title="kb105" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1051.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1061.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9596" title="kb106" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1061.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1071.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9597" title="kb107" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1071.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1081.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9598" title="kb108" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1081.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1091.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9599" title="kb109" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1091.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1101.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9600" title="kb110" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1101.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1111.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9601" title="kb111" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1111.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="388" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1121.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9602" title="kb112" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1121.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1131.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9603" title="kb113" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1131.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="459" /></a><a href="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1141.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-9604" title="kb114" src="http://www.krabidiscovery.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/kb1141.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="393" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Yeah that’s us! 8 of us to be precise after the heavy lunch.  Well, this picture was taken when we were walking our way out. Overall, the place was huge. Built up on a small pond. The food in general was good. Loved the Tom Yum soup in particular. The service was good as well. Kept refilling our water and changing our plates. Price wise, we were not sure as it was packaged in our tour. A place to consider while touching down in Krabi Airport.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #003366;"><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #008080;">This coming Sunday at 14.50 pm, Krabi Discovery, on behalf of the Tourism and Hospitality Industries of Krabi, extends a warm welcome to Tiger Airways  Flight TR 182 on their re-visit to Krabi and all our distinguished visitors a warm and happy holiday.<br />
</span></span></strong><br />
</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #003366;"> <span style="color: #003366;">This is the second attempts by Tiger Airways to connect flights  from Changi Air  Hub </span></span><span style="color: #003366;">to Krabi.  Since its last operation in early 2008, Rosalynn Tay, Tiger Airways Singapore Managing Director said that they&#8217;ve received numerous requests to resume flights to Krabi. &#8220;I&#8217;m delighted to tell all Tiger customers that we have listened to their requests and are now able to add Krabi to our fast-growing network of exciting destinations&#8230;&#8221;</span><span style="color: #003366;"><span id="more-7163"></span><br />
As the first airline flying to one of Thailand&#8217;s most popular summer destinations from Singapore, Tiger Airways names Krabi as the fifth new destination launched in 2009, bringing our network to 37 routes across Asia Pacific. So what are you waiting for? Start preparing for the beach getaway of the year! and soak up the sun, sea, sand, and good vibes at Thailand&#8217;s island paradise!</span><span style="color: #003366;"><br />
Krabi will receive four Tiger Air Boeing 737 flights a week direct from Singapore from October 25 as the province gears up for high season. Bookings for December-February were running at about 60 percent, said Itirid Kingkawe, President of the Tourist Association of Krabi. He anticipated the rate would rise to 80 percent. &#8221;Most of our customers are from Scandinavia or other parts of Europe,&#8221; he said. &#8221;We are hoping the Singapore flights will broaden the market for Krabi.&#8221; Long-haul flights have suffered generally, Khun Itirid added, with many destinations trying to encourage more travel within the region. &#8221;Guests from Europe are also not staying as long,&#8221; he said. &#8221;Once, people would come for three months. These days their visits are shorter and they are spending less money.&#8221; Krabi has 15,000 rooms and its appeal, a mixture of nature and quality accommodation, is similar to that of its neighbor, Phang Nga. Prime attractions are Ao Nang, the departure point for more remote destinations that sometimes can only be reached by water. Phi Phi, Lanta and Phuket are all popular excursions from Krabi. Environmental issues continued to grow, along with the number of tourists, on Phi Phi especially, he said. Krabi would recover, along with the world&#8217;s economy. &#8221;It&#8217;s a long way to Bangkok and the problems of the deep south from here,&#8221; he said.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #003366;"><strong>Flight Schedule</strong> : Tiger Air Boeing 737 flights will resume flights to Krabi four times a week from October 25 2009 onwards. (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Sunday).<br />
<strong>Departing from Singapore, Flight TR 182</strong> at 14.10 pm. local time, Arriving in Krabi at 14.50 pm. local time.<strong><br />
